The Sweet Milk or manjar (also known as manjar blanco, arequipe or cajeta) is a traditional Latin American candy, which corresponds to a variant caramelized of milk.
Dulce de Leche is made with milk, sugar and vanilla essence. It is usually added a pinch of sodium bicarbonate to accelerate the caramelization of sugars. In some cases it can be incorporated Milk cream. Although the original sweet is made with cow's milk, it can also be made with goat's milk, although it is not a common variety.
